What We’re Looking For
Ashes For Beauty Magazine, affectionately called AFB, is a new publication for African-American Christian women 18-45. The magazine covers a myriad number of topics including but not limited to; fashion, health, beauty, politics, interior design, finances, relationships and spirituality.

Do you have the skills and passion to impact a generation of Black Christian women? This is your chance. We’re currently taking submissions for the following sections:

• Financial Fitness: Articles offering sound advice on managing finances. Submissions can include, but are not limited to, information about purchasing a home, saving, alleviating debt, starting or growing a business, networking, purchasing a new vehicle, etc.
• Stories Worth Telling: Articles on individuals with life-changing testimonies.
• Body Beautiful: Articles and/or content covering health and beauty.
• Living Suite: Articles and/or content on interior design/home décor.
• The Rib Shack: Love and relationship advice column.
• Entertaining Opinions: Opinions column.
• Culture and Fashion: Articles on the latest happenings in our local and global community. Submissions in this column will also highlight the latest fashion trends and will feature emerging fashion designers on both a national and international scale.

AFB Editorial Calendar
Ashes For Beauty Magazine is a bi-monthly online and print magazine. The first issue will be released Labor Day Weekend 2010- September 4th, 5th, and 6th of 2010. The OFFICIAL release date will be Monday September 6th, 2010.

Submission Guidelines
Ashes For Beauty Magazine accepts only the highest quality content . Submission of article(s) does not guarantee inclusion in the publication. We reserve the right to refute any article that does not align with the standards, mission, and overall vision of AFB. Please allow 4- 6 weeks for the review of your submission. Submissions may be sent to submissions@ashesforbeautymagazine.com.

Rights and Regulations
We request the right to keep chosen submissions in our archive. By submitting an article to Ashes For Beauty Magazine, you grant us permission to publish and edit, for length and content, as appropriate, without monetary compensation. The article will be featured on our site and/or in the print version of the magazine. Should your article be published on our site and/or in the print version of AFB, in return, we will also publish your byline containing your contact information and a link to your website that will increase traffic and generate exposure for you.
